New development service in the field of magnetic pulse welding

In order to establish an application centre for potential users, a 25 kW installation for magnetic pulse welding, type: "PULSAR MPW 25 9", was set up at SLV München. Magnetic pulse welding can be utilised not only for forming and cutting (punching) but also, above all, for the execution of thin-walled lap joints such as housing parts or pipe joints. The joint is manufactured with abrupt, contactless forming and pressing by means of magnetic induction.

In particular, industrial development services for the testing of customer-specific applications are offered in addition to the execution of public research projects.
