Content

This advanced course deepens the knowledge and skills in ultrasonic testing, particularly in weld inspection, through lectures and practice-oriented exercises. The aim of the course is to develop the ability to perform ultrasonic testing and evaluate results according to applicable standards and regulations. In addition to expanding the participants’ physical and technical knowledge, European and German standards are discussed in combination with extended object-specific training. Skills covered include weld inspections on flat and curved components, testing of castings and forgings, and evaluation methods for test results. Test instructions and test reports are also prepared. These skills are reinforced through detailed practical exercises. An examination is conducted according to DIN EN ISO 9712, considering the Pressure Equipment Directive (DGRL) 2014/68/EU.

Note

Proof of participation in the UT1 course is required for this training. If the required experience in ultrasonic testing and physical fitness (eye test) has been proven, certification of the participant according to DIN EN ISO 9712 is possible.
