On 22-23 April, 2015 the 5th meeting of the EU-project consortium INTERACTIVWELD took place at the SVS-Schweizerische Verein für Schweißtechnik, the Swiss Association for Welding Technology in Basel. The project is a Leonardo da Vinci Partnership funded project.
In addition to new results concerning the integration of Virtual Welding Trainer Systems (VWTS) in the practical training there was an intense discussion about target groups for whom the systems are particularly suitable.
Besides the professional exchange an art workshop took place. During the art-workshop sculpture were welded in group work from scrap iron. The participants found ideas and suggestions previously when visiting the Tinguely Museum.
The results of INTERACTIVWELD-project will be presented in two lectures on the international Conference WELDING TRAINER on 09.16.2015 in Nuremberg.
