The GSI branch Bildungszentren Rhein-Ruhr got a funding from the German Federal Foreign Office for the Project „Education Partnership Egypt“

End of September the GSI mbH received the information through her German partner sequa about the funding of a project to train teachers from the Egyptian Technical and Vocational Training Centers (TVET) in welding.

Until end of December 2014 in total 32 teachers shall be trained in El Obour – near Cairo – by the German Egyptian Welding Center (GEWC), branch of GSI.

This training will be the preparation to participate in a following DVS Welding Instructor Course in Germany in 2015.

From these 32 persons the best qualified 18 trainees will complete their further training in the Ruhr area.  In order to support this idea it was necessary to prepare a protocol with the Ministry of Education in Egypt. This was done in Cairo on October 1, 2014.
